A huge thank you to everyone who attended or contributed in any way to the success of our 12th annual fundraising Burns Supper which took place in the Easterbrook Hall, Dumfries on Friday February 2nd.
An auction and raffle were held during the evening, helping to boost the total raised for Befriending Project funds to over an incredible £4200. The company was treated to a delicious three course meal and a packed evening of quality entertainment. Master of Ceremonies was John Glover MBE; the Immortal Memory was delivered by Brian Taylor, BBC Scotland’s Political Editor; Mouswald farmer Colin Mair proposed the Toast to the Lassies; and recently retired manageress of The Globe Inn, Jane Brown gave the reply. Meanwhile, musical interludes were provided by Stuart Cochrane, curator at Ellisland Farm. Fiona Jessiman addressed the haggis.
