A huge thank you to everyone who attended or contributed in any way to the success of our annual fundraising Burns Supper which took place in the Easterbrook Hall, Dumfries on Friday February 1st.

An auction and raffle were held during the evening, helping to boost the total raised for Befriending Project funds to around £4000. The company was treated to a delicious three course meal and a packed evening of quality entertainment.

Master of Ceremonies was David Miller; the Immortal Memory was delivered by David Mundell MP; Stewartry vet Graham Bell proposed the Toast to the Lassies; and D&G Life Editor Andrea Thompson gave the reply. Meanwhile, musical interludes were provided by former BBC Traditional Musician of the Year Claire Hastings and 13-year-old Rowan Hastie.  John Gorman addressed the haggis, which was expertly piped in by 12-year-old Gregor Grierson.
