Achiever of Investing In Volunteers Award 2019
Thursday 24th October was another special evening for the Dumfries & Galloway Befriending Project. We were very proud to receive the Investing in Volunteers Award courtesy of Volunteer Scotland, on behalf of the United Kingdom Volunteering Forum (UKVF). The award was graciously presented to us by Elaine Murray, Council Leader.
Project Manager Alex Dickson, on receiving the award, acknowledged the self-assessment process. We met all 9 indicators and 46 practices laid out by Volunteer Scotland. He also raised a glass to all of our volunteers, giving them a heartfelt thank you.
Allana Fotheringham, Investing in Volunteers Manager for Scotland, sent her congratulations saying “achieving this award acknowledges your commitment to your volunteers, by committing to improving and developing your volunteer programme”.
