On Friday evening, we celebrated 20 years of Befriending and had wonderful evening at The Usual Place, Dumfries. About 130 befrienders, staff, trustees and supporters enjoyed an informal evening with drinks, canapes and great music from Fairfarren (Faye and Karen).
Long service awards were presented to 7 volunteers for their outstanding loyalty and support. The highlight of the evening was the words spoken by three young people who benefited from having a befriender – as they shared their appreciation of the positive impact made in their lives.
