It was an honour for Ruth Nicol, Befriender and our manager Alex Dickson to enjoy a Garden Party at the Palace of Holyroodhouse on 4 July.

Beautiful weather, tea on the lawn and all in the presence of Her Majesty The Queen and Princes Andrew and Edward.  The real coup was that the representation of the charity resulted from the outstanding contribution made by our volunteer befrienders – recognised by our recent award of The Queens Award for Voluntary Service, regarded as the MBE for voluntary groups. Don’t they look well!
