Nine young people and eight adults were fortunate to have had the opportunity to visit Dumfries Fire Station on Monday 11th July.

They were provided with a fire safety talk where it was also reinforced how important it is to wear a cycle helmet when out on a bike.

After the presentation the group were shown the fire equipment and fire engines. A definite highlight was that all the young people were given the opportunity to sit in the fire engine and also use the fire hose (thankfully no one got too wet!)

Our thanks very much goes to Mr Gardner and all staff at Dumfries Fire Station who provided a very interesting and entertaining evening.
